Stampin'101 Class

I am so excited, I had a class here at home and we just had more fun making cards and holiday treat stuff!  I know it isn't next week but I just had to share what we did.  I even got a booking for a workshop plus two interested in a product class I have scheduled in November!  Thank you Lord for that shot in the arm I so needed right now.

Here are the pictures of what we did.

The attendees could make 1 each of the treat items.  The So Grateful (Apothecary Art) card was made with More Mustard card base & sentiment, glossy white layer, Always Artichoke seam binding.  There is a funny story about the stamp set I used as I was telling everyone the stamp set was retired but that there was another newer one in the current catalog, which would work just as well, I just didn't have it.  Now mind you if you are familiar with our catalog you will see quite alot of French Foliage on this card which is in the catalog and not retired.  However, you will also see some of the retired set Autumn Splendor set.  I was looking for a particular item for one of my guests in my retired sets and low and behold I came across the French Foliage set.  Which was marked as a retired set.  Then I got to looking at the card and the stamps and realized at some point in time I had mixed the two stamp sets together.  Oh my goodness, I felt and still feel so silly!!!!  And the leaf stamps I truly love the most are in the French Foliage, alas minus the acorn.

Now the Seasons Greetings (Snow Swirled) card is on a Whisper White base, Cherry Cobbler layer, with a second later of WW.  The stamps used are from the Everything Eleanor and the Tags Til Christmas.  I used Gumball Green, Soft Suede, and Versamark for the stamps and Cherry Cobbler embossing powder on the ornament and Linen thread for the bow on the ornament.  This particular card was one we made at one of our Ladybug Swaps and Kim Schneider designed this lovely but easy to make card.

The treat bags were the highlight of the class.  The treat bags with pumpkin pie bakers twine glasine bags, and the preprinted tags stamped with the Googlie Ghouls Stamp set is a project kit you can find in our  current Holiday Mini on my website.  The ones with the CrumbCake bag topper and the long narrow bag holding the Candy Corn M&M's are also made with the Googlies Ghouls  and the Wicked Cool sets along with the labels collection framelits and the decorative label punch.  So much fun.  The little Christmas treats are made with the Stylin'Snowfolk set.  I will be offering a class in November with this same set with more treats and cards.  That will be on Saturday morning at 10:30 at my house on Nov. 3, so don't wait too long to register, I only have room for 8 more participants.  The stamp set is included in your class fee of $35, wood mounted.

Here are the close ups of the Googlie Ghouls and Stylin'Snowman, mint patties, treat holders.

Now aren't those googlie eyes the absolute cutest!?  You gotta check that kit out.

I hope to have more details on events within the next week.  I pray your past week has been fabulous, I know it has been here.  One of the best years in a long time for our annual International Balloon Fiesta!

Here's to another great week.
