Welcome to my portion of the blog hop for May. You probably arrived here from Nichole Gonzales blog. I can't wait to see what she has done for us this month!
It is that time again and this time I am actually going to have it on by tomorrow, what a shocker. We were to focus on some of what is retiring this month and I have to say it is a sad time to say farewell to some old favorites in stamp sets, colors, punches, die cuts, embossing folders, Designer Series Papers and certain accessories.
I just finished a study on the book of Genesis and learned so many new lessons, but the big climax was coming to learn we all have chapters in our lives just like any book. Each chapter transitions to new situations and the previous chapter has set the stage for what happens in the next chapter. So it goes in business too.
One of the many items I had grown very fond of over the years was the Just Believe Stamp set. Not to mention Lucky Limeade, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Baja Breeze. So here is my final project for this blog post, very simple, very mail friendly, no buttons, bows, brads, rhinestones or pearls, just stamping, color and cardstock. I hope you enjoy it.
Somehow I managed to cut off the left side a bit as there is about a 1/4" between the stamped image on white and the outer edge of the card base. I did also use Perfect Plum, which to be honest supposed to have been Wisteria Wonder, but I think it turned out very nicely, just picked up the wrong marker!! When I am working with the older cloth stamp pads I find I get a better coverage with the markers. I also used one dimensional on the curly label punch used for the sentiment. These items and the Perfect Plum, nor the Wisteria Wonder have been retired. My first focus and goal with the new catalog will be to convert my stamp pads all to foam.
I love being a Stampin'UP demonstrator. It is my source of R & R. Teaching someone new to Stamping and paper crafting brings so much joy not only to me but to them as well. I want to welcome Joann McKenna to my circle of stamping buddies along with Jamie Snowden. I look forward to more times together sharing our love for the craft.
Til next time which will be next week, see you soon, and don't forget to go to my website where you can order these items until May 31 as long as supplies last, some discounted some not, check it out at www.ktscreations.stampinup.net.
Be sure to go onto the next in line which would be Liz Kay at http://kraftasticmrskay.blogspot.com. She always has great ideas and look forward to seeing that she has to offer tomorrow!
